Ready Brute

We have a 2014 CRV Honda and thinking about a Ready Brute tow system with the mechanical brake system. Just wondering if there are others our there with CVR and was wondering about the placement of the drilled hole for the cable.:)

  • I just drilled a hole through the firewall on a jeep liberty. A 500 dollar hole. Hit the high pressure fuel line. 50 dollar part and 400 in labor.
  • I had a tech drill through the firewall. It was too tight a location for this old body to work upon. The Saturn is similarly compressed like the Honda, on both sides of the firewall, so I left the job to someone with experience. Other than drill placement, the instillation was rather simple.

Drilled hole through the firewall, or through the front facing of the car? Or both?

How about going through the front license plate, which can be easily made whole later, if and when, you're wanting to remove it?
