That cable is pretty much a "single-use" run... The professional install done on my Forester just has that cable run pretty much along the regular braking cable course, but it is simply held there by a few zip-ties. The only time that is going to be pulled (activated) is in the catastrophic event of a break-away. If that happens, that cable is going to get yanked right out of those zip-ties, pulled tight thru the engine compartment jamming on the toad brakes and keeping them there. I see the goal as preventing the toad from becoming a missle and killing others. I don't expect it to be a pretty sight... ST
