DW and I have Swift kayaks (singles) and love them. Singles are much easier to share the water bottle, the cookies or our camera. The Swifts are built in Ontario, Canada. The cockpits are X large which makes it easier to get my 60+ year old body into it. It also makes it easier to strip my fly line onto the floor when out fly fishing. The other consideration was weight when we ordered these. I carry my kayak with one hand as it only weighs 32 pounds which makes it very easy to carry in a portage. Seems funny to be thinking on this as we probably got a foot of snow over the weekend and the wind is now blowing some of it around.
