Red carpet stains no more

Last years camping season was a tough one for me. My dog was diagnosed with cancer and in his final days he was getting sick a couple times a day. Most of the time I was able to catch him and move him to the tile floor where it could just be wiped up. Every once in a while it would happen in the middle of the night and I wouldnt catch it till morning. This left me with 4 red stainds on my light tan carpet from the die in his food. I tried everything to clean them out. Every stain remover and home remedy was a waste of time. Last week I contacted an auto carpet restoration expert. He told me the only thing that he ever saw work on red stains was a product available from Amazon called Red Relief. Its a 2 part system that you mix in a spray bottle and go through this whole process with damp towels and an iron and then use a rug docotor to suck it all out.

The purpose of this was to pass along the info that red stains are a thing of the past. "Red Relief"from Amazon.
  • Sorry to hear about your loss. I wonder if the Red Dye in the food contributed to his cancer?
    Those Dyes can't be good.
  • Thanks for the tip - and this is one reason we don't feed a dog food with "colors". (Natural-colored barf is bad enough....LOL!) But I get it, that you wouldn't change foods on a sick dog - sorry for your loss....

Sorry about your pup. We lost one to cancer last summer while traveling in the northeast. We knew he only had a short time left when we left, but he enjoyed the trip that he's taken many times with us.
  • So sorry about your losing your dog. They are family to us and it hurts so badly when they leave us.

Thanks for the tip. Don't need it yet,but it is good info to have.
