Before I retired, I worked on Large Sea going Tug and Barge Units. One of the biggest fears was "Pink" Jet Fuel. It did not take much residual left over from carrying 2 oil to turn a 20,000 barrel (840,000 gals) pink and they would reject the load.
Back in the 90's I took on 100,000 gallons of Diesel Fuel in Virginia that was not died, which it was supposed to be. So, they gave me a 2 quart bottle and told me to add it myself. I asked how much to add to each 20,000 tank and they said a couple of cap fulls. I did two cap fulls and it turned it red.
I can't even imagine how long it would take to clean out a truck tank once you put the died fuel in it.
