I was at a BP station in Door county Wisconsin. I pulled up to the diesel pump grabbed one of the 2 nozzles and started filling my truck. At the half way point I glanced at the nozzle I had in my truck and it said off road diesel only. I shut that pump down and checked the other pump sure enough it said for road use. The diesel was not dyed luckily.
I has seen that twice in Wisconsin. At one station it was 2 different pumps one nozzle was red stained.
All the stations were rural stations. I was lucky. I now check the pump at stations just to make sure it does not say off road diesel before I use it.
