True, new tank vs dyed diesel fine, tank would be cheaper, but a visual dip in the tank after 1-2 tanks of clear fuel following a tank of red will not come out red. No need for paranoia here. Never checked the truck, but I've filled and emptied more slip tanks of diesel than I can count and after a couple tanks of on road fuel there's no visual trace of farm fuel.
I'm sure a spectrometer could pick up finite amounts maybe for longer than that, but.......
It's like a lot of the rumors here. They morph into something more pretty quick.
