I was extremely surprised too... I think because there is only approximately 8-10' that somewhat cantilevers over the rear trailer axle that it is not enough distance to make any kind of change?? The sandrails rear wheels are about 3' from the rear ramp door so the car is all the way back (cage just about touches the door) so the wheels of the car are just about 4.5' past the trailer axles. The scale works and I'm sure that it didn't move (maybe up to 75#??). I know it is pretty accurate because of the MFG info that I was given in regards to my serial # and Hitch weight (just under 1400# dry). Pretty good balancing job I guess? Adding a full gray tank (50 gal)will add 100% of that weight to the TW and I have scaled that and saw the change.
