I used it and it worked well.
I eventually went to a different style of pin without locking. There are other ways to secure a hitch head. Some actually pull the pin from the receiver and just pull out leaving the hitch head and draw bar attached to the trailer tongue.
Remember locks only keep honest people honest. They do nothing for a thief looking for your stuff.
