It was a Reese, watched them take it out of the box.
Like said originally, my hitch which is now 4 years old looks exactly the same with the same ratings, even the bars. This has left me uncomfortable enough to start considering moving to a sold steel shank with my TT since it appears to have a higher tongue weight than his. After his broke, we finished parking it with my truck/hitch setup, no WD used though since with my 2500HD it only dropped 1" in the rear.
