I just rechecked your first post which is how the trailer was set up prior to the shank break. You do make reference to not allowing the dealer to change the hitch tilt.
Also, a 650 lb tongue weight will maybe be 800 lbs when loaded. With a pickup truck, 800 or 1000 lb bars is all that would be needed. 1000 lb bars if using an SUV. 1200 lb bars is probably way too stiff.
The GVRW of the trailer is like 8000lbs. if you follow the 10-15% rule the tongue could be as high at 1200lbs. The 650lbs I used is from the mfg spec'ed tongue weight, and using the around 6000lbs weight it left the factory. How is 1200lbs bars too stiff.
Also I did not let them move the head of the round bar set up. When they did the 1200lbs trunion setup I let them be. IT turns out that when they setup the pall height it was 4" lower than what Reese directs (about 1" above the coupler when the trailer is level).
