No bulb (as in light bulb) then even if Low Ambient Control switch was ON it wouldn't matter because you don't have a light bulb to turn on...........

No bulb (as in light bulb) then thermistor is more than likely the problem...it has failed

The 'Snip the Tip' is the easiest method of replacement of failed thermistor.
Just snip the (bulb end) tip off,,,install replacement......done.

I don't have any bulbs in. Last time it was in - just recently - they said there was power there but since I did not want to pay for 1/2 hour time they did not put a bulb in. Sum b...es. Put bulb in every way I could figure - there are four holes and tried everything I could think of. Put the VM on it and I could not find and power (but probe might not have made it in all the way).

Think we will just use it as is til we get home in late January - turn it on and off and keep the temps in line.

The NDR 1062 has a 'limp mode' of operation.
If temp sensor fails.....it will continue to operate/cool until repaired.

You can test thermistor.....
Unplug the two wires on lower control board (upper left side P2---2 pin connector)
Place bulb end of thermistor in glass of ice water (more ice than water)
Wait 10 minutes (33*-35*F temp) then check resistance on wires (where they go in connector)
8000--10,000 ohms..thermsitor is good.
"Snip the Tip' is good way to repair

Also has a 'Low Ambient Control' (LOC On/Off switch). In ON position it keeps food section light ON which adds heat to compartment which causes fridge ON cycle to last longer causing colder temps.
Open food section door and check if switch is ON.....on bottom of upper panel

If the 1062 is a 10cf do not buy a new fridge . Have a new Amish cooling system

Tried them all; no change. Have been on warmest as it reads 28-30 degrees in refer but not set to coldest and see what happens, Larry. Stay tuned til this afternoon. And appreciate your input.

what setting are you using for the temperature?

trace the wire to the rear of the fridge and disconnect it. I have not done this and the tech's body was blocking the view but maybe the manual will show it can be disconnected. I was thinking if the termister was not attacked to the fin it might be the correct answer but now the rear deal should be better if you can find the correct spot.

Ok, Larry, I hear ya but how do with remove the thermister - it is an integral end of the wire. It shows 29 degrees in the refer but even the fins do not ice up; just dripping.
