Bob, been there, done that in cold country in winter...ain't it fun!
We had to drag out over 100 feet of white hose when we ran dry in winter to get to the outdoor faucet in Mom & Dad's yard. We kept it coiled up in the shower in the MH to keep it somewhat warmer. Well by the time we get it uncoiled and filled it is no longer flexible so yes, indeed trying to drain out and coil up frozen hose is a lot of fun.
Worse yet we had to drain our black tank into the blue boy and drag it with the ATV to the sewer clean out opening near the garden...We drained our gray tank out onto the ground behind the barn because we only had dishwater but even that is touchy...had to let it drain on a reasonably not sub-zero day and quickly so it would not freeze up then drain and coil it up so it wouldn't be filled with ice.
Winter living is a challenge but isn't everything!
