Reformulated Gasoline

Ethonal gas won't be a problem if you buy it and run it. Letting it sit is when problems start. Buy only what you can use in one season.

Ditto. I use Stabil and have never had a problem. Untreated gas can gum up if left untreated...

PLEASE STOP USING THE TERM "REFORMULATED" when you are talking about E10 gasahol blended fuel.

"Reformulated" refers to the summer blend of gasoline required by the EPA clean air regulations. There are about 15 different blends depending on where you live.

"Reformulated" does NOT equal E10 or E15 or E-85.
A reformulated summer blend may be E10 but the two terms are NOT interchangeable. They mean two different things.

BAD idea. Your gen does NOT have a 2-cycle engine and won't run good with that much oil in the gas.

I have considered keeping a quart of it around, just in case I run out and need fuel for my generator, but I've found it is cheaper to fill up and bring another 2 gallon gas can, and when done camping for the weekend, empty the can into my vehicle's tank, so it doesn't go to waste.

Thanks for all of the thoughts and suggestions. My Honda owners manual states using PURE gasoline if at all possible. That's what I've done for the past 5 or 6 years that I've owned it and have yet to experience a problem starting it.

I have heard of people using reformulated gas in their small engines with good success, however I'm skeptical. Call it what you may but if I can buy pure gas that's what I'm going to burn. I'll burn the reformulated if I'm forced..... :B

I use premium non-alc fuel in my generator too. I carry a 5 gallon can of it when I take the gen. Can't you carry your own?

I second that - I use that HyVee off of 291 when I top-off my boat prior to winterization. Small world!
