Refrigerator -110 /12 V only - Usage Experience

Looking at a 1998 RV with a small Norcold refrig/freezer without Propane. Only 2 house batteries / no generator. Concerned with no propane. Do you have experience with one? What was your experienc...

some special model DC compressor fridge ?

or regular absorption mode RV fridge ?

the first will be easy on electrical use, but you are still going to need a generator or solar

the second will eat those batteries, like starved children
