The Amish are big on waving for some reason. I find that odd, because they won't do business with an outsider given a choice, they won't speak unless spoken to and they don't mingle or attend any of the community functions unless they have a booth set up, but they go out of their way to wave to everyone on the road.
I think it is a rural versus urban thing rather than a regional deal. .. You got it. Living in the city takes some getting used to since we go camping since go through rural area's. Further out in the country you go the more you see.
