I solved the problem with the GG Bridge, I don't go across it. The lanes are narrow and for the last 30 years they have been resisting a moveable center divider. Don't know how many people have died in head on crashes while they debated but it is a lot.
The curb lane (which RVs have to use) is 11' wide while the remaining lanes are 10'. Head on crashes on the bridge are a problem.
I haven't seen recent updates on the moveable center divider. Isn't one problem that it would take eliminate one lane due to it's width? But then I'd guess that the remaining lanes could be wider?
Since I'm often in Brisbane my choices are:
1. 19th Ave and the Golden Gate Bridge
2. Bay Bridge, Berkley traffic and the San Rafael Richmond Bridge
Of course I could not go to the Dry Creek Wine area - and that's not going to happen!
For anyone not familiar with the Golden Gate Bridge it cannot be widened. I believe it would be possible to have a upper and lower roadbed like the Bay Bridge.
