I myself have lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life and therefore HAVE no weird regional habits. :B
Born in Idaho raised in Montana, lived all my adult live in Utah, picked up putting peanuts in my coke from my dad in the 1950's, and still do it to this day. Have no idea where he came up with it, but some people do think it is a bit weird. I just ask do you like coke, they answer yes, do you like peanuts, they answer yes, and I say there you have it.
