When I think that our camping season is 5 to 6 months, and knowing that each time we go camping we're on the road one day to get there and one day to come back......this is a rip off ! About 12 days on the road each year, and we have to pay as much as a car we use all year long !
I know it's my choice, but I still don't think it's fair!
Typically the registration price/cost is not determined on how many times you use your RV or if it is a hybrid or not. It usually is an annual cost that is good for as many times you want to go in the year. The number of times you go is your choice. The cost is the state's calculated value whether you use the RV once, never, or every day in a tax year. If you want the cost per trip to be lower, go more often.
I know what you're saying, but come on !!! I'd like to see you travel in Maine with a trailer behind a car or truck in December, January, February and part of March. 99% of people here use their camper for a maximum of six months in a year
Why can't we buy a registration just like a motorcycle for six months. They won't let you do that for a travel trailer.
