After reading through all posts, no one from CA is complaining about vehicle registration hulabaloo.
Does that mean Californians are satisfied with whatever the government pick from their pockets?
CA Vehicle registration is mostly based on the year the vehicle was manufactured---the older the cheaper.
I also noticed that none of the posters mention smog inspection. We Californians are required to have a smog certification before you can register the vehicle. Don't know about trailers because I've never had one.
Smog inspection is required every two years.
The cheap registration compared to other posters from the East Coast and Midwest sounds like a good deal...for now.
Our "venerable" governor is going to increase all vehicle registration to fund his Speed Train project.
Electric vehicle would pay a hundred dollars more.
So, come to California or establish residence while it is still cheap. Not until the bullet train or maybe sooner is sweeping by at the blink of an eye.
No, thanks. I'll pass on moving to California. CA is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty, but it is NOT a tax haven.
