releasing wdh setup after parking...

Hello,

I was talking to an CW salesman who proceeded to tell me when he backs into his campsite, instead of removing all his wdh set up he pulls the pin holding the hitch to the receiver on the truck, pulls forward and is done. Then, when he's ready to leave he "simply" backs the truck up, aligns it to the hitch and re-inserts it into the receiver. I'm calling shenanigans on this however, just to make sure, has anyone ever heard of doing or tried doing this? To me it sounds pretty dangerous.

  • He'd have to release the tension on the bars first to pull out. It can be done. I don't think backing in to hook up would be easy though. The draw bar would have to be held and perfectly aligned with the receiver. Similar to a Hensley in that sense but it is designed to for that and is moveable.
