Do not forget to leave your fridge door open for a few days after you return from a trip. I forgot two weeks ago, and today, had to clean the mold out of it.
I do not need to worry about that till Oct. We keep ours on all the time during the season. We returned last Saterday from a 50 day trip and it is still on with stuff in it. Camper is sitting in front of the house plugged into a 30amp circuit.
I almost want to use a 3D scanner and put on Thingiverse plans for Dometic refrigerator airing position cards. These are easily lost or snapped... but are the only thing that will keep the fridge doors open.
I know the feeling. I left my freezer door closed for a week, and it took some elbow grease with some bleach wipes to get the black mold out.
Yuck. :( We saved the little tabs to prop open our fridge door from our old camper, when we traded it in. Glad we did, as the current TT didn't come with any! I keep them in the freezer so I don't forget to use them. Not a fun job to clean out mold - sorry about that!
