Never tried the dryer sheets. Using other chemicals I'd read labels carefully. Things that are good for removing stubborn dead bugs stand a good chance of stripping wax too.
If there is a good coat of high quality wax most of the bug remains will come off with a soft brush & water or water with the non wax stripping automotive or RV wash.
Speed seems to make a difference on how well they get plastered to the front cap as well.
