A poster a while ago said that he loaned his rig to a friend. When they got it back they found that the friend's son had wet the bed. The poster was asking how to get the mattress cleaned. It turned out the friends kept several rabbits caged on the bed while transporting them to a fair (or something like that). Would you want that mattress to be yours?! I doubt a renter would tell you about issues when they brought it back to avoid any deposits lost. You would find out weeks later about damage, leaks, or smell.
