Bruce - just out of curiosity....how far do you go (distance) to "deliver" your trailer to a/the campground of the renter's choice?
Might work in your part of the country - but in other parts, that could be a lengthy trip (time wise & miles) to drop off and pick up.
And - comment to the OP....take it to CA and sell it......should have said *Southern* CA.
Not a rental story......
I have a 34' 5th wheel. Lost storage for my (other RV) small, 19' TT, so time to sell. Listed it on Craig's list at about midnight. Used my voice mail number informing potential buyers I would return calls in order received.
Following day, I checked VM about 5PM to begin returning calls.
First caller was at 2AM - followed by about fifty (50) others!
No exaggeration - I was shocked! Some were repeat callers, two offered more than I was asking - if I would call them first.
Anyway, I returned the call from the *first* guy that called at 2AM.
He bought it at full asking price (cash) that same evening at 9PM, hitched up and gone!
Put message on VM it had been sold. Thank you Craigslist..:C
BTW - So. CA is dealer "heaven"! Chock full of "gotta have it now" buyers of new RVs. Which is why I purchased (new) 5th wheel out of state..;)
