OK, I'm unsubscribing from this topic now that people are reduced to telling me what obviously I already know because I've posted responses, and that I have no sense.
If something is worth carrying at all, it's valuable to me. Why have storage compartments that can easily be opened by any passing yahoo with a key that apparently 10% of the U.S. population has on their key ring (now I know the 751 is even used for the average toolbox and just about anything else that requires a key), and not make some effort to secure them better?
I will be in a location where a neighbor would likely notice someone prying a door open with a screw driver or crowbar, but might not notice someone opening a door with a key. "It's stupid" or "it makes no sense" is a matter of opinion. Thanks to bumpy, I'm getting the round ones. I'm by no means stupid, and it makes sense to me, and apparently to several other people who have responded with helpful information.
This is starting to sound like the "Attitude" thread.
