We have a residential in our new TT. I was thinking I would miss the propane option. But I let mine run strictly on battery and it ran 12 hours (2 group 29) with he converter, before I felt batteries were getting too low (close to 12v - actually 12.05). Granted these are brand new batteries. However, if driving, the alternator should more than make up for the draw. So as long as it is not sitting more than 10 or so hours without power - I think it will be fine. I can say the fridge and the freezer perform much better than my past 3-way, even on propane. I plan on staying in RV parks along the way of longer trips rather than hotels. But just to be safe, I am getting in the habit of unplugging the TT during stops so I don't drain the tow veh. batteries. Still new to it though, and may have different opinions a year from now.
