You really do want to start that process in your tanks. All the particles that cling to the bottom and sides of the tank will turn to stone. The "good " bacteria in a septic cleaner will help to prevent this.
That's my opinion also.
I bought a 5'ver who's black valve was a slow leaker. The PO did not notice it because he was always at a FHU. The black tank was pretty much clogged, I could only go 3 days till the tank was full.
Rid-X after dumping (so it could work for a few days) followed by a spray wand during dump time took care of the problem after half a dozen dumping's.
I used a see thru fitting and actual chunks were being passed down the stinky slinky.
