I had that exact pickup but a 27 foot toy hauler when I lived in Montana. The engine and tranny have plenty of power to tow over the mountain passes. The issue with my setup was a gvw deal as the toy hauler I owned had a very heavy tongue weight. It still pulled wherever I wanted when loaded to 9k pounds. Just didn't like the fuel mileage.
You'll be fine. Although a diesel 3/4 ton would make the trip more comfortable.
