Is the Roadmaster Brake Pro still a good product? I saw somewhere that the Brake Buddy is no longer supported with parts since the Even Brake was introduced. I am going to use a supplemental brake for the first time. I used to tow a '96 Tracker that was only 2400# but now will be towing a '98 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4wd that weighs about 3300# so a brake will be a neccessity. Don't have a big bankroll so am looking at used items. Is there any reason that a Brake Pro should be avoided?
I'd avoid it for the simple fact that READYBRAKE is now available and the best bang for the buck, new or used. Effective and simple in operation and install with not much that can go wrong, if anything.
