We bought a new Hyundai as a towed, the rv came with one of the rock protector devices which when taken off take up ROOM. I considered going with one of the clear mask bra's but never got around to getting the stuff. Did finally find someone who knew how to install thus another cost. Anyhow we towed over 5000 miles last summer thru construction zones etc and had no issues. Window got chipped on the towed but it was while driving and a rock was flipped up. The rv has mud flaps that are about 6 inches off ground and a long rear over hang. My pickup I put long regular mud flaps on it and have had no issues with the TT we have either. Went to a truck stop and got the 12 inch wide chrome hangers to keep the flaps from sailing (SRW 1T). Now the towed does get dirty if in rain etc, but it will even with the skirts. Go to a rv place like a CW and see what most have for rock guards and when I looked most were set up for a CL A not a C.
