Rodents?

Cats.

Be careful of the D-con usage. The rodent eats it and then dies inside your rig usually in a hard to get at place. Very nasty smell will be with you for weeks.
I have had better luck with the sticky rodent pads you can purchase at Wally world. Catch the critter and throw the pad in the dumpster.

As a juvenile, I did shoot a mouse inside my parents home with a 38 shot shell. This was NOT good for the mouse, mopboard, or my backside (father's boot print visible for days).

Another vote for glue pads. I always opt for the biggest traps available. Wandering around the perimeter of of your RV with a can of foam insulation is a good idea as well.

Had a dead one last week. It was in the dash air system. Finally saw it with the recently purchased inspection camera and was able to get it out. I had used the bait. Now after reading the posts I think I will go with the traps. It sure did stink. A trap in the hose bay would make sense.

Glue traps seem pretty cruel and sadistic to me. I know the object is to kill them, but that seems torturous. I use snap traps baited with peanut butter, check frequently. I know some believe that actually draws more to the unit, but that hasn't been my experience. Most important is close any small holes in the bottom that might allow access with steel wool.

Tried both this past summer. Surprising, the glue traps cought a lot of the little buggers and the snap traps never once got one. Dont tell me they were placed wrong, i had them next to each other. They simply ignored the peanut butter in the snap traps and went right for the smell on the sticky traps.

Dogs? I have 2 small dogs and have never had any problems. Do any of you who are having problems have dogs? Maybe I'm just lucky. The primary place I camp is in Northern MN. But I am also in Texas.

This sounds like a great idea! I use moth balls and I hate trying to get that smell out in the spring. Much rather smell peppermint then mothballs.

How do you put it out? In a dish or on cotton balls etc?
