...need to clean the roof on our tt...2 yrs old. ..used tilex on the awning and it was great...how bout mixin some up and mopping on roof...very cautious of the sidewalls. ..thx...bo

I've used Tilex to remove winter mold and mildew from my deck awning for 20 years. Other than being sun-faded, it's still in great condition. Having said that, I don't think I'd use it on the RV roof.- I have used laundry detergent and a soft brush the last two years and it does a good job. I got this from the Forest River Owners Forum.

Spic and Span here also with a medium stiff brush. I use the liquid Spic and Spam and seems to work great. Could not find the powder.- Mequires auto/RV soap, in the pink bottle, here. Dawn & many other cleaners work but as they dribble down the sides they strip any wax you might have.

2X for Spic and Span. This is what the manufacturer says to use.- When it comes to my roof, I'm very touchy here. Use what you may, I use only Rubber Roof cleaner and the conditioner from the closest RV dealership. (It's my money ... I can spend it where I want ... but I don't want to spend it on a new roof because a cleaning solution eventually eroded away the rubber.) Some things I just don't go cheap on.
- I use a mixture of Dawn (or any liquid soap), bleach, water in a two gallon yard sprayer. Spray it on, let it set a while, rinse, rinse, rinse. Go over places first application did not get clean. I tend not to use a brush, not needed but if you feel the need, a soft brush is fine.
- Spic n Span on our rubber roof with a medium stiff brush works great for us.
