Just returned from another great trip over to Roosevelt Lake. As you can see from this shot the lake is at about 49% of capacity but hopefully it will come up with the last of coming snow melt.

We enjoyed 4 days/3 nights at the Windy Hill CG (one of several along the lake). It was in the low 80's every day with clear star filled nights. The amenities are awesome but they do not take reservations. You buy a Tonto National Forrest pass at one of the local merchants and for $6 a night (yes it really is $3 a night with a geezer pass!), you get flush toilets, hot showers and each site comes with a large steel Ramada along with the usual table and fire rings.
The sites are large and well disbursed with unbelievable views of the lake and surrounding mountains. There are water spigots through the CG but no dump station at Windy Hill. To the southwest are several ancient Indian Cliff dwellings visible from the CG.
One of the hi lites of our stay was meeting Snowman9000 and his bride who are out here hiding from the Illinois winter. We did the show and tell bit, touring each others Class C's, they have a very nice Sunseeker 2300 and enjoyed sharing our campfire on Saturday and Sunday nights. Here is a shot of our site:
