Rotochoks??????

I have a set that I was going to sell. Maybe I should hold onto them as a collectable.

I recorded a video on how to use my Rotochoks. It's sad to hear they are no longer available. I enjoyed talking to Pearl when I bought these.

The Roto Choks are more custom sized. They fit better and can be secured tighter than X choks. The construction and design is more robust.
Roto ChokS are actually designed to keep RV from rolling (like a wedge chock) in addition to improving stability. X Chocks are for stability only and are not designed to keep RV from rolling. Ground based wedge chocks should be used with X Chocks but are not required with Roto Chocks

I use the BAL chocks that go between the tires and you crank them tight, to me these are the same thing. Once cranked, there is no way the trailer is going to move

They are also easier to install. I had a pair of X Chocks but replaced them with Rotochoks because my DW couldn't put them on tight enough or get them off. The Rotochoks are much easier and she has no problem with them. MUCH easier for anyone with arthritic hands.

Mine loosen when I raise the front of the fiver. I always tighten them just prior to disconnecting.

It is possible that over hours or days they loosen up as the tires cool off. I do not retighten them before hitching up. I'll check that next time.

Very possible, mine will loosen up after the tires cool and need to be retightened.

The patent is 5,148,158, filed in 1991, issued October 27, 1992. "Vertically disposed wheel chock for tandem wheels".

Well, here is the bad news: It has expired, since it has been 20 years since the file and issue date. Any legal wrangling over who owns the patent is pointless now.
