on our 04 duramax and our 2015 duramax I switched to the bilstein shocks in short order. at about 5,000 miles on the 04. within 500 miles on the 2015.
Bilsteins greatly improved the ride. much better damping control, especially when towing.
With both trucks I tow a 30ft outback, 9,000lbs and 1400lbs tongue weight. We can't complain about the ride, comfortable yet controlled.
