RPM's when towing uphill?

have a 2012 dodge ram 1500 with a Hemi 5.7 engine crew cab 2x4.
just got a small 21 ft TT weighing loaded 3900 lbs.
going up a 6 or 7 % grade in Nv. was doing 55 to 60 MPH and the RPM's were between 3500 and 4000 RPM's.

Am I at a safe range? is 4000 RPM's in the danger zone for my engine or am I ok all around?
thanks
  • Use peak horsepower RPMs (5600) rating for going as fast as you can, and use peak torque RPMs (4400) for best fuel economy but slower speed. So I would say that you are safe at running 4000 RPMs with your engine, according to Chrysler's own specs.
