From the OP's description I don't see where Rudeness comes into this at all. This was a negotiation. It's not playtime, large amounts of money are at stake.
From the description it seems the Buyer knew what he wanted and frankly this is not the kind of Buyer many dealers care to deal with. It seems he had a pretty good handle on starting high and giving himself some room to move down...you never want to do the opposite.
This Sales manager may not have been able to make the deal for financial reasons. But he had a chance to make a friend and a future customer and blew it. So I for one wonder why he is indeed the manager?
Too many RV dealers seem to want you to walk in, Dont ask any hard questions, Dont demand a competitive price....just throw the money at them and leave quietly...and please dont bring it back for warranty work.
