I may not get the "best" deal, but I never get one that I am not happy about.
Exactly.....you never should...
I went car shopping with my father numerous times. He never bought used, always new. I can remember going in and out of dealerships several times and the negotiating going on. I remember him walking out many, many times. I developed the same car buying sense...my wife hated to go shopping with me.... then one day, about 5 or so years ago, my father and I were talking about buying cars. In his infinite wisdom, he said that a good deal when buying a car is when the seller and the buyer are both happy. WHAT!? After all these years of angst and headaches when buying cars, he now softens up on me? Well....after thinking about it, he's right. If I'm happy with a deal and the seller is happy, then by all means...stop wasting my time to save a penny. Buy less Tylenol... If I need to waste my time trying to swindle down to the last penny, then I probably shouldn't be buying it in the first place.
