Rude forum members

I belong to several different RV forums and I have never had a problem with rude posters on any other site. This site has about 20 members that are rude and just seem to troll around for something they can get some jabs on.

Over the past several months, I have noticed that if someone asks for OPINIONS on an item, there has to be at least one or two members that wait for several opinions to be posted and then begins to SLAM at least one poster. It's gotten so bad that I am reluctant to express my opinion on anything.

Therefore, it's time for me to depart from this site. I have found it very, very useful, but I refuse to be made feel to feel like I am stupid because of my opinion.

Thanks for all the help that you have given me over the past decade or so, but I'm not hanging around any longer.

    I have about 15 people blocked and the posts that I consider rude, have dropped considerably. Now, some may have me blocked and that is OK. They won't even see this post anyway!!! LOL

    I am here for information...

    Internet forums. Where everyone is entitled to everyone's opinion. JMHO :)

    It is a public opinion website where people have opinions that may differ from yours. No different from any other place. There have been a number of people lately who think that everyone should always be nice and never clash over certain subjects but that's not happening. I am not offended by rude, stupid, or insane but I will have an opinion on all of the above. I had one idiot attack me personally in a PM for get this; being snarky. Really, they launch a personal attack and call me snarky? There's some irony and hypocrisy in there somewhere. At least I do it publicly for all to see and stand by my comments. BTW, irv2 is not nearly as beneficial as this site in terms of a good knowledge base and yes I belong to it too, just don't bother with it any more.

    won't happen :)

    block who annoys you and continue to enjoy the site. no forum is without troubles.

    There are those types of people on every public forum, but I have to say, RV.Net is one of the best places that I frequent. I post periodically on IRV2. I try to only post about those things I truly know about, since I want to make a contribution. On IRV2 there are folks that will attack people that are posting factual information. People that know what they are talking about. As a result I rarely frequent IRV2.

    If you spend time on this site, you'll get to know those that know what they are talking about. But attacks on people are much less then on other sites.

    It seems to be a problem with every "open to all" websites. I am on both this site and IRV2 and can attest that both have occasional issues with rude or condescending posts. If you want to see some really crude posts sign up on one of the news magazines website and watch the lefties/righties go at each other.

    iRV2 appears to have its share. Just don't let the cyber bullies bother you. Good luck.
