Actually, it IS a big deal, it's also illegal in every jurisdiction in North America to dump it into a septic system or municipal sewer.
Then again, for all the car crashes and radiator leaks in the world, there are no safety backup containment systems in existence...
Probably good not to dump it down the drain (or the lawn) but maybe it's not the "toxic nuclear waste" that some make it out to be.
Edit: Upon further reaearch, it seems that it's readily biodegradable. Really toxic to dogs, and indeed requires care, but if you spill some on the driveway...it needs a good rinsing, not jail time.
