RV Boondocking on city streets - where is it legal?

So where could you sleep in your motorhome on city streets overnight and not get harrassed by the local police department? I'm planning a nationwide tour by motorhome and would like to know what ci...

Many cities do have regulations against overnighting on the streets, many do not. Only way to know is research each individual town. A town most likely only has an ordinance prohibiting it if there has been a problem at some time.

I have overnighted on streets but prefer private property like stores or truck stops. Another option is rest areas on highways.
