So where could you sleep in your motorhome on city streets overnight and not get harrassed by the local police department?
I'm planning a nationwide tour by motorhome and would like to know what cities allow RV sreet boondocking.
I know California it's pretty much illegal except maybe in Venice Beach.
I think Tucson, AZ it might be legal.
It is specifically illegal anywhere in or around Venice, ESPECIALLY Venice! That area was the point focus of LA City and LAPD when the neighbors got fed up with the squatters (these aren't campers by any definition), blocking driveways, increased crime, and people crapping anywhere they felt.
And the capper was a person dumping their tanks and driving around to spread it out.. Wasn't very hard to track that down. This made national news and RV'ers all over the country are still paying for it.
Better do some homework if this how you plan to travel. I doubt squatting on city streets is legal anywhere.
