RV Cabinet Refacing

Some of the wood grain paper is starting to flake loose in our ruck camper. It's only in a small area close to the floor by the kitchen sink that I'm guessing got wet but I would like to do something to repair or but something over the damaged area. Has anyone used a cabinet refacing company to redo the cabinets in their RV?

And probably would match exactly as that's likely where the RV cabinet manufactures get their's from as well. ;)
  • +2 on finding a small, local shop. Be prepared for sticker shock. I've got the tools to make my own doors and it's an investment I'm glad I made. The contact paper on our bathroom door was pretty wrinkled. An afternoon in the shop was all I needed to make new door panels out of solid wood.
  • You might look at surplus cabinet rv doors on ebay. Some dealers have a salvage unit as well that might have nice doors.

  • Find a small local cabinet shop. I'm sure they will be able to do it. I have a buddy that does custom home cabinetry and I asked a similar question some time ago about and older trailer. He said it shouldn't be a problem.

I had some doors go bad once and found same door in the bathroom so moved it to the living room/kitchen area... Then I got a new door from LOWES that had different design but once painted to match the wall not noticeable that wood design was different from the other room...
