RV caught on Fire

Does anyone have any tips on dealing with insurance or if you can sell any parts to a salvage yard. We had a fleetwood Providence.

Could be covered, depending on your policy. I'd make sure I got everything that I was entitled to.

  • Same as any other insured vehicle. Presume it's totalled, so unless you buy it back, mits not yours once you get the check.
  • If you take payment from the Ins co. they own the RV. They may choose to sell it for parts, not you, they own it. You can get paid by Ins, or you can try and part it out but not both. Unless you buy it back from the Ins as scrap. To the best of my knowledge. We had a TT get totaled by someone. I took off anything that would not have come with the TT from the factory, and then got paid for the value of the TT.
