One thing I'd be concerned about is have your parents made a statement to you that they would like a cover? That's a very big item if it's not something they'd really like.
Perhaps a gift certificate would be a better choice. I know, it's not that personable.
X2, make sure they want a cover first. I have a love-hate relationship with covers; I love they way they keep it nice and clean but I hate putting it on and taking it off!
