RV Cover/solar panel

Can we cover our solar panel? And if so is there anything we have to do first?

I once saw a manufacturer who would make a custom cover with clear panels for your solar panels. I've been looking for this now and can't find it. Anyone?
I would think a boat cover guy may be able to do this. We have a bunch of them up here that make custom covers for the bigger boats.

Yes, solar panels can be covered if desired.
There is nothing that must be done before doing so.

Are the top of RV covers completely opaque? Will panels charge at all if some light get thru? I've been wondering if I would need to put solar panel windows in the top if I used a cover. Craig

My husband was talking about doing that also.

    Sure, but it won't work

X2, in fact that is what you do if you want to work on your solar system and you do not have some type of disconnect.
