RV Freezer Works but Fridge Doesn’t

“What could be happening with my RV fridge if the freezer is working, but the refrigerator section is not getting cold?”

  • No mention that you have and use a battery operated fan in the fresh food section?

  • If your RV freezer works but the fridge doesn’t, it’s usually a problem with airflow. Cold air moves from the freezer, so blocked vents, a broken fan, or ice buildup can interrupt circulation. Be sure to check the door seals and thermostat settings too.

  • Have you checked to make sure the thermistor is still attached to the fins? You may have a bad thermistor and it need to be replaced. Like said it would be helpful to know brand of frig. and year.

  • Be helpful to know the type of fridge, but usually if the freezer is working and fridge isn't you have an airflow problem, either in the fridge ( too much stuff, blocked vent etc) or blocked airflow behind the fridge, or a door seal not closing.
