Here is a trick I found a while back to use when I bring in my wife's hibiscus plants for the Winter.
Take a small spray bottle and put in a little CHEAP dish soap and fill with water. Spray/mist the plants with the soapy water. Doesn't harm the environment but it makes the little pests sick and they drop off the plant.
