Rv GPS

I'm thinking about buying a RV GPS system. I have narrowed my selections to:
Magellan RV9165T or the RV9145,
Garmin RV760LMT or DEZL760MT,
Rand MC Nally RVND 7720LM or RV ND 7710LM

Has anyone had any experiences with any of these?

  • I have several Magellan's and like the software logic. I've been looking at the RV9165LM and since my truck doesn't have a Bluetooth hookup, I'd like to get that one. Any users of the Magellan RV9165LM out there with comments?
  • I use a Nuvi 550 and Nuvi 2497. Make my own routes on the laptop. The GPS doesn;t require cell service which can be iffy where we travel.
  • I have the Garmin 760, I like it and I'd buy another. The large screen definitely beats the little cell phones and the speakers work very nicely on it when you're in city traffic and can't be glancing at the screen all of the time.

  • What do you need from one? I can get all I need off my smart phone with the exception of bridge heights, which I have never needed. I have a Garmin Nuvi that I use sometimes, but the simple fact is the Maps app on my phone is faster and more accurate. Garmin has sent me on more wrong routes than my phone has.
